The final track based on House Targaryen from George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire." After the Defiance of Duskendale, King Aerys II Targaryen grew more paranoid and cruel by the day. Father to Daenerys Targaryen, the Mad King's insanity eventually drove Jon Arryn of the Vale to raise his banners in revolt. Houses Stark and Baratheon rose with him, and Westeros was plunged into Robert's Rebellion. At the Sack of King's Landing, just before the Mad King Aerys could set his own city aflame, he was murdered by Jamie Lannister, a knight of his Kingsguard. This track aims to capture Aerys' madness.
The instrumentation in this album is almost indescribable, it's so different and feels like a breath of fresh air. The melodies are beautiful. ethbloom
